[/caption]Michael Crichton , one of my all time favorite authors, passed away November 5th in Los Angeles. Crichton's death was a result of cancer. He was best known for his science fiction and techno-thriller novels. A list of books he wrote can be found below:

Outside of writing, Crichton was also a producer. He created ER, an Emmy/Award winning popular medical drama TV series that still airs on NBC today.
A private funeral service is expected but no details have been released.
